European Vocational Skills Week 2022

Spring 2022

The Week 2017

Summary of the week

Building on the success of the first edition in 2016, the second European Vocational Skills Week took place on 20-24 November 2017. Just like last year, the Week in 2017 aimed to raise the profile of vocational education and training (VET) as a smart career choice, increasing employability and leading to high-quality jobs. It brought together a wide range of VET stakeholders from across Europe and focused in particular on VET mobility, opportunities provided by developing skills in particular sectors and promoting business-education partnerships in VET.

Events in Member states

Over 1500 national events had been organised in the context of the European Vocational Skills Week, a 50% increase on 2016. The interest in the Week across Europe has surpassed expectations. Events had taken place in 45 countries, including all the EU Member States, reaching nearly one million people.
