- The future of VET
Since childhood, I have been successful in academics and the arts. Computers caught my attention on the very first day I saw one. I was totally mesmerised. When my father turned on the computer, I would join him and watch. Sometimes I would turn on the computer, create files, write articles and explore programs.
When I learned to use a search engine, my interest in computers increased even more. I would play around with a computer that wasn’t working in our house and research for hours on the internet.
Our neighbours and relatives sought out my help when there was a problem with the computers in their homes, and I would try to find a solution even if I had to research for hours. When I started high school, I thought I should go to technical school based on the advice of a friend. I got into a good technical school.
I like learning from experienced professionals about the information I have learned by researching on the computer. Through VET, I have had the chance to work on projects, work in groups and do concrete experiments through vocational and technical education.
In addition, having technical courses alongside academic courses helps me to clear my mind.
