After graduating from a vocational high school childhood development and education department, I decided to study at university to gain more knowledge in this field and, in parallel, in the field of special education.
Since I discovered that my interpersonal relationship and communication skills are strong, I wanted to communicate with my special education students as I had done in my original field. I had my first experience in the field of special education with ‘Education at Home’.
Afterwards, I worked with and trained under psychologists and special education teachers, physiotherapists and experts working in Filotay .
My first experience in the special education classes of the Ministry of National Education was challenging for me.
Later in my studies, I saw that the knowledge I gained in early childhood education should be adapted to special education, and that the individuals in need of special education are very similar to other people, even though they are perceived as different.
This made my job easier.
