I am Hakan Cavnar and I was born in 1980 in Sapanca-Kurtköy. After graduating from primary and lower secondary school in Kurtköy, I began studying in the mechanics department of a vocational high school on the advice of my mechanics teacher, Sadun İnan. I benefited greatly from my teacher Metin Mülayim at the vocational high school.
According to my friends there, I loved my profession very much – I loved turning and milling. I completed my internship at Federal Mogul and started working at Otokar after graduating. I have advanced in my chosen profession over time.
After working at various levels, I am now a team leader at the factory. I am responsible for a team of 50 workers and receive a good salary for the work I do. If I had to choose a profession now, I would still choose to be a mechanic because the mechanics is among the top professions.
My advice to students in mechanics departments is to learn their profession well, to use measuring instruments well and to be respectful to their teachers.
