I completed my studies in the school of Management and Economics in the Department of Tourism of the Technical Education Institute (TEI) of Athens. I am a teacher of French and music and I speak English very well.
I have worked in the tourism sector as a booking manager and group leader for a French tour operator and I have also been involved in the organisation of medical conferences. I am a certified vocational adult trainer specialised in tourism.
Since 2009, I have been working as a teacher in VET in the field of hospitality and tourism. My involvement with VET proved to be the ideal choice for me because I was given the chance to combine vocational education with my profession.
It was a conscious choice from which I gained much more than I had initially thought I would. It is therefore a priority for me to continue my training through participation in Erasmus programmes and courses in pedagogical adequacy to use modern teaching practices and offer my students new knowledge from European countries.
Apart from my work in VET schools, I am currently active in the Experimental Vocational Schools (PEPAS) of the Labour Employment Office of Greece (OAED) in the tourism sector at the Kalamaki campus, a project that combines VET in the winter with on-the-job training in the summer.
