I am Selami Serdar. I took the vocational high school entrance exam in 1988 and won a position in the Electrical-Electronics Technology Department at the Sapanca Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. In my last year of high school, I did an internship at the state-owned electric power plant.
After the internship, I worked there for two more months. Then I went into the electrical installation business as a private entrepreneur. After completing my military service, I started working at Arçelik Beko Authorised Service Centre in 1994 and worked there for 18 years.
Afterward, I worked as a maintenance technician at SIRMA Water, a bottled water factory. I then worked as the Maintenance Manager at the Kurtköy, Istanbul EFEM-SU bottled water factory for four years. In 2018, I decided to move to Azerbaijan.
I am currently working at the Gedebey mineral water plant and have been providing technical and consulting services in the field of mechatronics and automation to factories and businesses in Azerbaijan.
In 2021, I bought a 3D printer (Creality Cr-6 Se 3D) and donated it to the Electrical-Electronics Technology Department at Sapanca Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School where I studied years ago.
I love my job and, as long as my health allows, I will continue to help my country's youth to receive better education and training.
