I appreciated the opportunity to take part in the STEM Education in Vocational and Professional Schools project - it was one of my favourites. The cities of Ivano-Frankivsk (Ukraine), Sighetu - Marmației and Seini (Romania) worked on implementing STEM approaches in the educational process.
Young people took part in workshops, camps and other educational activities to create and strengthen cross-border relationships. For me, it was a hands-on project that provided an engaging and meaningful space to learn about science and entrepreneurship.
Every activity was very well planned, even if it took place online, and the mix of ideas, skills and facilities was captivating. This experience not only made a positive contribution to my personal and professional development, but it was an opportunity to give something back to the community.
The fact that we equipped two laboratories, one for robotics and one for electrical engineering, to European standards will help us to achieve our goal, namely to attract more students to STEM subjects and, consequently, to encourage them to consider careers in STEM disciplines. I look forward to future STEM projects.
