I’m Umutcan Küçükkeleş, 24 years old. I was introduced to occupational social work via my cousin’s business when I was 12. I have learned more and more about the field over time.
Then and now, occupational social work is not only a job for me but an art that harnesses my energy. That’s why I decided to attend a vocational high school, choosing public relations and occupational social work as my major.
With the significant support of my teachers, I expanded my abilities and experience. I started performing as a man on stilts when I was 14 and moved on to various other positions one after another, including a juggler.
Through the internship opportunity in my senior year at vocational high school, I worked for a large company doing occupational social work in many projects where I gained real-life experience.
The biggest source of happiness for me when performing in this job is to see the reflections of happiness on peoples’ faces. Seeing happiness on faces, especially on children’s on their special occasions, confirms I made the right choice.
