I completed training as an event manager. In the past, I had a lot of fun planning and organising club trips or family parties. After high school, I did an internship at a music festival. I liked the versatility of the job.
The highlight of my training was a one-month internship in Dublin, Republic of Ireland where I supported a sustainable event agency in organising various events. I gained exciting insight into the working culture of a foreign company.
Vocational training offers many advantages: early entry into professional life; the exchange with other trainees and colleagues in a company as well as with students in the vocational school; the opportunities for further training; and being hired by the company after training.
After my apprenticeship, I started a part-time course of study in another field. After graduation, I imagine working in an area that combines content from my dual training and studies.
I would do an apprenticeship again – the training gave me practical knowledge about the job, and also about successful interpersonal cooperation within teams.
