Umur ÇEŞME's VET Story

I am Umur Çeşme. I enrolled at the Beypazarı Commercial Vocational High School on the advice of my father with the hope of a job opportunity as soon as I graduated. I graduated three years later and started working in an accounting office, contributing to my family’s income.

While working in the accounting office, I also prepared for the university exam and got into the Business Administration Department at Gazi University. I had the opportunity to work in an accounting office for four years at the university and to pay my expenses. I graduated from university in 2001.

I then worked as a teacher in Kars and Çorum provinces and, in 2008, I started working at our school, which had been renamed to Hendek Commercial  Vocational High School.

During my tenure, I took the management exams and was promoted to the position of first assistant manager and then manager.

Since the end of my term in the directorate, I have been working as an accounting teacher at Hendek Osmangazi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School  with great enthusiasm.
