I was born in a village in Kahramanmaraş Province, Turkey. I attended primary and secondary school in my village. When it came to high school, I chose one of the schools in the city centre.
My choice was VET since I was interested in IT and foreign languages. My VET journey started in 1994. After four years of training in IT, programming, computer software and hardware, English, accounting, typing, interpersonal relationships and more, I decided to continue my education in languages.
I studied Teaching English at university. I was very interested in and good at using computer and web design as well during my time at university. I graduated as a teacher of English and started teaching at a VET organisation.
I have been teaching English exclusively at VET organisations for 18 years. I have participated in and coordinated lots of EU projects at local, national and international levels during my professional life using the skills I gained during my VET journey.
I have travelled to other countries with the projects. I am a trainer of Project Cycle Management (PCM). Moreover, I can create websites on my own. I am happy to say I am earning my living via VET.
