be part of European Vocational Skills Week

The fourth edition of European Vocational Skills Week will be taking place 14-18 October 2019 in Helsinki, Finland, and it will be bigger and better than ever. Watch Marianne Thyssen’s announcement of the Week.

Everyone with an interest in vocational education and training can get involved in European Vocational Skills Week 2019. There are many ways to take part, including:

Register your event or activity

You can register your own event or activity. By registering your event or activity you will be helping to raise the awareness and attractiveness of vocational education and training. Your event or activity will also be featured on the event map and will therefore gain more interest. The map is a useful tool to help find an event or activity in your area.

Share your story

Getting involved with the campaign can be as simple as sharing your story. You can share details of how a traineeship has unlocked your professional potential or, if you’re an employer, you can share all about how you have upskilled your workforce through vocational education and training. Fill in the short form on our Share your story page and upload an image or video in order to be featured on the website!

The Awards for VET Excellence

The Awards for VET Excellence are back for 2019. In previous years, the awards were one of the highlights from the event. This year, there will once again be an Awards Nominees Celebration event in the presence of Marianne Thyssen, European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs, Skills and Labour Mobility. View the dedicated awards page and keep an eye out for the announcement of the public online voting to get involved.
