Inga Ieraga is a girl from Cesvaine, who started studying at Ogre Vocational Secondary School in 2006 (since 2011 Ogre Vocational Secondary School is part of Ogre Technical School).
Currently, Inga Ieraga is one of the teachers of professional subjects in the educational program "Electronics Technician". Within the framework of the European Vocational Skills Week 2020, we interviewed Ogre technical school graduates and a teacher about the experience of vocational education.

Why did you choose VET and learning in Ogre technical school ( then Ogre professional school )?
- Honestly, I didn't like the city I lived in at the time. I wanted to change the environment, the people around me. In fact, I already knew in 8th grade that I would go to a vocational school because I was not interested in the opportunities that would have existed after graduating from high school. In my opinion, after obtaining vocational education, you have a better chance to enter the labor market immediately after graduation, you have been in internships, worked in various companies and gained practical knowledge.

More information about Inga Ieraga experience is available on www.ovt.lv.
