Feedback on an internship in INCIEN

INCIEN is the only Czech organisation fully and solely dedicated to the issue of circular economy and it provided me an opportunity to get complex overview about the main stakeholders and hindrances and most importantly to get perception of the overall Czech circularity. Perhaps the greatest insight that I gained is that current level of Czech sustainability outreaches my worst expectations. Despite meeting many wonderful people both in INCIEN and in other organisations who are fully dedicated towards solving the issue, it woke me up in a sense that a lot has to be done in order to minimize the impact that humanity is posing on the environment. It reassured me in my commitment to choose such a career path that will tackle these challenges. The second most important thing I was cultivating while working there was my ability to work independently and efficiently manage my working time. The general flexibility of the internship is both blessing and challenging, but either way it trains one in self-leading, which is the essential step to be fulfilled before leading anyone else. I met inspiring people who make me believe it is possible to move our country towards greater sustainability.
