I have known excellent teachers

I am Ariola Agolli, 21, and I study at the Secondary School of Apprenticeship of Thessaloniki, OAED. Since I was a toddler, I liked to play with fabrics, to draw and to sew. As soon as I finished high school, I looked hard for a school that specialised in fabric and clothing. I am lucky to discover the 2nd EPA. At first, I did not think I would pass, but when I was informed that I did, I was delighted. My dream started to take place. It's been two years since then and it's like it was yesterday. I gained experience, knowledge, professional and social skills. The most important thing is that I have known excellent teachers.

The experiences I have gained through the various events helped me to better capture my specialism. I had the opportunity to take part as a model at the fashion show at our school. I wore clothes designed and created by my classmates. I also gained a lot of experience through our cooperation programme, with Cedefop, that gave us the old banners they used in their various events. We designed and created banner bags to recycle and to demonstrate our skills.

It is very important to me that I managed to get to such a level that my own teachers and my peers are asking for my opinion. The most important thing is that I finish school and I feel ready to work.

I feel like I'm walking on my own two feet and I can open doors and claim my dreams as I want. I have a good base, I need opportunities and I will definitely one day get my own fashion house, the one I always admired and dreamed of!
