Hello, my name is Žilvinas Kapočius from Kėdainiai VET Centre, Lithuania. My colleagues and I participated in a teaching visit in Kayseri, Turkey, in February. It was a part of Erasmus + project "International experience - quality assurance of vocational education and training". It was not the first time on such kind of visit, so we knew what challenges we could face. During the preparational time, we improved our language and professional competencies, tried to select such materials and methods that they could be informative, innovative, and stimulate students' motivation to learn. My colleague and I worked at the Kayseri Technical School. During the lessons, students participated with great interest, watched films about Lithuania, our region, and our VET Centre, asked a lot of questions. I introduced the professional English terms related to car parts, the students performed various practical tasks in English. Information about the generator, starter, and battery was presented in the practical lessons. We will always remember sincere communication, cooperation, and the attention of colleagues. We gained not only professional but also emotional benefits after the visit.
