Hi, I'm Maria, I'm 22 years old and I'm a lab technician.
I graduated in June 2020 and did my internship in a telematic way. What did it mean for me? Well, doing lab work on the computer is not very effective, but you end up learning a tiny part of what you would have to learn.
I liked the degree of laboratory operations very much as an option, since I am not good with letters, I knew I wanted something that had to do with science. My grandmother told me when I was younger that I was good at being a scientist because I mixed everything I saw around the house (soap with flour, vinegar with coffee...) so I started to do it. What I could never imagine was that I would find myself in a pandemic situation.
With the situation of the COVID-19, the general sadness that abounded in all heads, it is difficult to concentrate when doing your tasks, and more when you lose someone loved by the virus.
What have I achieved? I have my degree, and an experience to tell the next generations. My advice is that you have to hold your head up high and try to stay happy, despite the situation, because we are strong and we can handle anything

Happy week!
Maria Alfonso Ibañez.
