Career guidance describes the services and policies, which help people of any age manage their careers and make the educational, training and occupational choices that are right for them.

The Commission has published, on 7 April, a new study on “Lifelong guidance policy and practice in the EU: Trends, challenges and opportunities”.

The study looks into what makes national guidance systems effective, key guidance trends and innovative practices from around Europe, such as digital innovation and job matching tools, new and inspiring venues for guidance in urban centres or spaces, as well as new ways for stakeholders and guidance professionals to interact.
