Hi, my name is Roosa and I’m a beautician from Finland, Vamia. I did one of my internships in Glasgow Scotland in 2019, at West College Scotland, 5 weeks. I truly fell in love with that country! We had school five days a week and weekends I travelled for example to places nearby. I feel like this Erasmus experience improved my English skills and I became even more brave to do and try new and a bit scary things. I also learned some new skills among beauty studies and some new ways to do things that I already had learned in Finland. I did e.g. manicures, facials, make up, lash lift, eyebrow dye and waxing. I also think that the teachers in West College Scotland were extremely friendly. This experience also strenghtened my dream to live and work abroad in future.
I’m so happy that I took this Erasmus opportunity because it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. Even tho these things may feel a bit scary I think that the best things in life happens exactly then when you go out of your comfort zone. So if you have opportunity to go Erasmus exchange or do your internship abroad be brave and do it!
