The first event to register for European Vocational Skills Week 2019 is Orientamenti (OM) in Italy, and is expected to reach 90,000 people! The Orientamenti fair will be dedicated to vocational guidance, education and training.

The first one to join the 2019 campaign, Orientamenti has experienced extraordinary success in the past few years. With over 90,000 people attending in 2018 (65,000 were pupils and 4,000 teachers); it hopes to exceed these numbers again this year. The event also has much to offer families, including counselling workshops and seminars.

The event will take place on 12-14 November 2019 in the Ancient Port of Genoa, Italy, and is aimed at young people, parents and educators. OM 2019 is an important event to encourage informed career decisions for young learners. VET providers, educational experts, policy makers, employers, trade unions, teachers, students and civil society associations will all be there.

Organiser, Francesco Isetta states ‘This is the fourth time that Orientamenti signs up as part of the European Vocational Skills Week. Promoting the great opportunities VET offers is the best way to fill the skills gaps in the labour market and to empower job seekers to be better prepared for their future careers. Being part of the Week is being part of a bigger family spreading together the same messages!’

Register for Orientamenti 2019 and discover the many career opportunities VET can offer you in Italy.
