I am studying in Kėdainiai Vocational Training Centre, Lithuania at the moment. Being a chef is an old dream of mine. So, a couple weeks ago I run Erasmus + 3 weeks’ mobility at the Albano Hotel in Rodi Garganico, Italy. I practiced with local products certified by the European Union. I learned how to make Italian lasagne, pizza, risotto, how to make ravioli, how to make and prepare seafood dishes. I learned to work long hours in the kitchen without getting tired, I got acquainted with local chefs working style. The real work imitation, sharing tasks with other students and positive attitude of the local chefs created so warm and inspiring atmosphere. I liked so much the courtesy of the Italians, the communication and the fact that this nation people always are smiling. In our free time, our group explored the Gargano National Park, Vico’s old town, and admired the shores of the Adriatic Sea. The placement organization exceeded my expectations, I didn’t expect I would learn and deepen my professional skills so much. I not only gained practical experience as a chef, but also improved as a person. I started to smile more, say more beautiful words and be just happy person.
