In the end of cold January I started my trip Zaragoza Spain to begin my six weeks practice in the local residence for elderly and disabled people. For the adventure and ecological thinking in my mind I decided to travel there by land. In between the east part of Finland and the north part of Spain is 4000 km of ferry trip and train and bus rides. Took me three days but was worth it.
In Zaragoza I was living in a hostel where was also famous music club. I got to know the culture also with my local mentor who invited me to join their family events. I was lucky and got to meet awesome people during my journey. On my free time I was touring the city and took couple of weekend trips around Spain.
After arriving my destination I started working at the residence. My Spanish skills were lousy, but I got some good guidance in English and learned some Spanish too. As I am studying to become practical nurse it was exciting for me to get to work with nurses. They have different kind of responsibilities but overall are quite the same as my work in Finland. Im thankful for the opportunities my colleagues gave me and trusted my skills. I leaned a lot and gained many good memories.
