school logistics competition

Classes 1, 2 and 3 of Secondary Technical School of Logistics in Powiatowy Zespół Szkół nr 2 im. Karola Miarki in Pszczyna took part in the I School Logistics Competition. It was organised within the framework of the European Vocational Skills Week 2018 by the teachers from Pszczyna. The competition was an outdoor game. Three groups of students went to different parts of the city to look for the clues which led to certain institutions in Pszczyna, here they could find further guidelines. Students had to use their knowledge in the field of logistics.

Many people and institutions got involved in this event including:

  • Workers of the District Court in Pszczyna
  • District Authority Office
  • District Police Headquarters
  • The Post Office
  • ‘Biedronka’ supermarket at Szymanowskiego Street
  • ‘Lerchówka’ Pharmacy
  • Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture

Within these institutions students were to provide a correct answer to questions in order to gain instructions to get to the next location.

The I School Logistics Competition started with a lecture on organising mass events which was prepared by Joanna Wiktorko, the director of Artistic Education Music Center Association in Pszczyna. Thanks to such events students can not only check their abilities in practice, but also have a lot of fun. At the end of the competition all the participants got prizes sponsored by the following companies:

  • Profi M Tec from Jankowice
  • the logistics and transport company TVM TRANSPORT Sp.z o.o from Studzienice
  • HYDRO ZNPHS Sp. Z o.o. from Bielsko-Biała
