Six art students and me, as the escort teacher choose the safest country for our first mobility after the lockdown. Cyprus had the best statistics. We flew from Vienna, Austria to Larnaca on the 15th of July.

Our host institution was The Coordinating Council of Limassol Cultural Organizations, a non-profit organization promoting the cultural development of the city of Limassol. The Council represents cultural associations based in Limassol and manages the House of Arts & Letters. The mentor of our students was Evros Alexandrou, the president of the council.

Students had different tasks connected with the promotion of cultural institutions and artists (a book design, promotional video and Instagram page). The students took part in different workshops, exhibitions and visits.

We organized two important events to promote our work:

#Srečko Kosovel in The House of Arts & Letters (photo exhibition) and
#Srečko Kosovel at The Art Nest (poetry evening at the residence of the famous sculptor Philippos Yiapanis).
We were protected, disinfected, socially distant but not scared. We felt very safe on Cyprus thanks to strict rules and caring people.
