Vocational training opens the door to a professional career

We are students in the fourth grade of technical school, and we will soon become economist experts. Now we can say with certainty that we have chosen the right school and we can enter the labour market earlier than our colleagues can from high school. Among the students of our school, there are people who already in the fourth-grade work professionally, for example in an accounting office.

Our school provides theoretical and practical vocational training and is complemented by professional practice at the employer's home, or abroad. We learn at school and have contact with a real place of work at the same time. This is very important because we gain experience relevant to professional work.

An interesting experience for us was a professional practice in Spain (27 February–14 March 2018). We worked at a dance school in Barcelona, training in the profession of an economist technician. We got to know the Spanish labour market, customs and culture of this country and we also had the opportunity to improve our foreign language. Working in such an environment, we have become more confident. In our opinion, this is of great importance, not only when applying for a job, but also by performing professional duties.

At the technical school, we learn various subjects and gain professional experience. This definitely opens the door to a professional career. It is important to be able to use theory in practice.
