DG GROW will organise a public session to inspire and share ideas around how cities/local economies can support the reskilling of their workforce under the Pact for Skills, in order to succeed in the green and digital transition.
EU officials, experts and ICC cities will :
- Present the commitments under the Pact for skills and partnerships in European Industrial Ecosystems, relevant to the ICC Cities
- Share experiences and work done in their cities to address the skills gaps and prepare the local workforce for the jobs of the future through vocational education and training (VET)
- Provide insights into key lessons learned.

1. Cities, communities and local economic actors play a major role within local and regional economies in mobilising business, social partners and stakeholders, to commit to working together.
2. We should link more and more the diverse policy aspects that are important for cities and local economies, from skills to access to funding and from business support to partnerships and cooperation.
