The conference will provide an opportunity for policy makers, social partners, experts and researchers to discuss the findings of Cedefop’s ‘future of VET’ work.
Since 2015 Cedefop has run a broad research programme to understand better the key challenges facing VET, covering the evolving institutions of IVET and its relative position in the overall education and training system, the characteristics and interaction of CVET with IVET, higher level VET, the review and renewal of VET content and the role of assessment in forming vocational learning.
The conference complements the ongoing political discussion on the future of European VET evidenced in the Skills Agenda, the Council Recommendation on VET and the Osnabrück declaration.
