Do you know what your pet dog tells you when it smiles at you from the corners of its lips? Knowing the pet's body language is extremely important for the proper care of animals.
That was one of the competition topics for the 3rd- and 4th-grade veterinary students on the 1st high school competition Veticus.
140 male and female students took part in the competition, and the best 50 competed further in practical tests. Students competed in theoretical and practical knowledge of recognizing different animal species' behaviour, approaches, and fixation.
The best 15 competitors qualified for the final situation test.

Prvo srednješolsko tekmovanje veterinarskih tehnikov in tehnic v Sloveniji, Veticus
Ali veste, kaj vam sporoča vaš pasji ljubljenček, ko se vam nasmiha s kotički ustnic? Prepoznavanje telesne govorice je izrednega pomena za ustrezno skrb za živali in o tem so se med drugimi na 1.
srednješolskem tekmovanju veterinarskih tehnic in tehnikov v Sloveniji, Veticus, pomerili dijaki 3. in 4. letnikov programa veterinarski tehnik/ca v Sloveniji.
Na tekmovanju je sodelovalo 140 dijakinj in dijakov, najboljših 50 pa se je pomerilo tudi v praktičnih preizkusih.
Dijaki so se pomerili v teoretičnem in praktičnem znanju o prepoznavanju vedenja, pristopih in fiksaciji različnih živalskih vrst. Najboljših 15 tekmovalcev se je uvrstilo v zaključni situacijski preizkus.
