My first acting experience

I am an 11th grade student of metal technology at the Boyabat Anatolian Vocational and Technical High School. I took part in a theatrical event for the first time during the 2021-2022 academic year.

This event honoured the late Mehmet Akif Ersoy, the poet who wrote our national anthem, and played him. I was very excited to bring such an important figure in our country's history to life.

I hadn't realised I had my acting abilities before that, and the audience's reactions during the program and the congratulations I received afterwards made me very happy. From now on, I want to take more roles in such performances at my school.

This event gave me back my self-confidence and raised my status among my friends. People who didn't talk to me before do now. The biggest lesson I learned from this experience is that it is important to be part of society and not avoid your responsibility to discover yourself.

I would like to thank my teachers for encouraging me and insisting I participate in this event.
