My name is İhsan Boya. I have been interested in the electrical and electronics fields since middle school, so I studied at an industrial vocational high school. I graduated from vocational high school at the top of my class.
My success in vocational high school and my degree have had an important impact on my professional life. When I started working in the private sector, I came in first in a Turkish competition in the automotive field. A year later, I attended international training, representing Turkey in France.
The training in France opened new technological horizons for those of us who participated. A year later, I broke a record by winning first place for the third time in another competition in Turkey. Then I opened my own business.
My success in vocational high school, where I gained my practical skills, enabled me to provide quality service in the automotive sector. I have now founded my own training and research and development centre. We are currently starting mass production of our own machines.
We recycle the automotive ‘brains’, or engine control units, and automotive parts. Vocational high schools were previously chosen out of necessity, but they are now chosen for their inherent value to the learner and to society.
