I am a teacher of vocational subjects for the profession of farmer technician at Zespół Szkół im. Karol Libelt in Gołańcza, a technical school. I teach subjects including plant and animal production.
I had the pleasure to go to Italy for the second time as part of the Erasmus+ programme and for the first time as a youth guardian, for vocational training and as a youth guardian for apprenticeships. I trained in the vineyard where my students did their apprenticeship.
The training was very exciting for me. For the first time, I was able to gain knowledge about viticulture, to learn about grape varieties and to get acquainted with the technology of wine production. I was also enriched with knowledge of the soil and climatic requirements of viticulture.
Rimini is situated in the hills close to the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, where a suitable microclimate is created for plants. The grapes acquire a specific taste and aroma thanks to the mineral components of the sedimentary rock. Many factors contribute to the unique taste of wine. The owners attached great importance to organic farming. I was glad that my students were with me.
