My adventure in vocational education began in the Department of Clothing at Alaçam High School for girls 20 years ago. I was a successful student in my chosen field. I not only learned the subjects at school, but also studied with my field teacher for self-improvement.
Even though I wasn't lucky enough to continue with a university education after high school, I knew that my high school diploma would be enough to have a job in my field because my goal was to save money and open my own business.
I participated in the exams of my local public education centre for non-formal education including vocational courses but, since I was not yet 18 years old, I was not old enough to start a business.
A court order solved that problem. Currently, I am a master teacher at the public education centre, and I have realised my dream - I opened a small workshop of my own and continue my studies there.
