13 new Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) projects, funded through Erasmus+, address digital and green twin transitions. From Fuel Cells and Green Hydrogen, resource-efficient construction, AI professionals, sustainable food systems, cleaner mobility, and to closing technology-healthcare gap.

Over the next four years, the selected Centres will, among others, analyse skills-gaps, create study modules, training courses and micro-credentials for young learners and workers. They will also pilot innovative teaching methods, train teachers, and provide training and technical support initiatives for SMEs. Read more about the selected projects in the factsheets

The EU initiative Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) enables VET providers to rapidly adapt skills provisions to changing economic and social needs. This is possible by collaborating with companies to provide high-quality vocational skills to both young people and adults. Partners include providers of VET, universities of applied sciences, employers, research centres, development agencies, and employment services (among others), which work together in international collaborative networks.

The Erasmus+ programme 2021-2027 aims to support the establishment of 100 international networks of Centres of Vocational Excellence in the period 2021-2027, with €400 million in grants to support the initiative.
