As an economics teacher at Bernardin Frankopan Grammar and Vocational School in Ogulin, Croatia, I have been taking part in the Week since 2016.
As a result, I have participated in several important VET events such as the WorldSkills competition, the Global and the European Money Weeks and many conferences including the Eurostat conference in Paris.
I am also involved in the Erasmus+ programme and UNESCO ASPnet. With the support offered to participants in the Week, I have launched several award-winning eTwinning projects at national and European levels.
My students enjoy taking part in the Week and often ask to participate because, through this event, they exchange knowledge and skills with other students in Europe. Through the Week, I connect students with the local community and prepare them for the job market.
We cooperate with research organisations and entrepreneurs in VET through activities such as lectures, workshops and field work. At the end of each activity, an evaluation is conducted.
It reveals student satisfaction and contains many positive comments. These positive comments provide motivation for future activities.
