- The future of VET
My name is Zakire Alimoğlu. I am an interior architect. I graduated from Gazi VET High School in 2000. Since mid-school, that is since the age of 10-12, my point of interest was drawing, painting, handicrafts and artistic activities.
Technical drawings we had learned from our teachers were always a great help to me in my college life and even after that, my business life. That was the biggest contribution of the VET school to my whole life.
After 20 years, together with my teachers from Gazi VET School, we recently made the technical drawings for the Park Afyon Project, Women’s Culture Cafe Market, and they made the applications themselves. I graduated from Bilkent University, Department of Interior Architecture.
Why interior architecture after Gazi? Because I am a person who loves to deal with things, decorate and design. I am the Provincial Representative of the Chamber of Interior Architects in Afyonkarahisar. Here we hold sectoral meetings for students.
In addition, we organise fair trips for the students. Students should not hesitate to go to VET schools, this is my advice for them. Indeed, VET schools are very special. As a VET school graduate, I feel proud.
