Sometimes you need to complete a bachelor's degree at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (environmental engineering) and a master's degree at Vilnius University (hydrogeology and engineering geology) to realise that maybe these fields aren’t quite for you.
That was my story. After having serious doubts, I went to a vocational school. In the first months of my learning journey, I realised that it was truly possible to learn how to draw at the age of 27. Modes of compositions started to form, and ideas for interiors were born.
I learned how to design interiors using various computer programs. I always dreamed of studying interior design and architecture, but I doubted my artistic abilities. I had never known how to draw and this vocational school proved that I can draw!
There is still a lot to do and a lot to learn in the world of design, but I am very grateful to the school for showing me the way and giving me the opportunity to fulfil my dream - I have established my own company, ‘Babelytės design studio’.
