I am Professor Mehmet Sarıbıyık. I was born in 1969. I studied at the Adana İsmet İnönü Construction and Technical Vocational High School . Then I was admitted to the Building Department of the Technical Education Faculty at Gazi University.
After that, I was appointed to a teaching position at the Eskişehir Yunus Emre Vocational and Technical High School .
After two years, I got my Master's degree in materials engineering from Newcastle University in England and received a doctorate degree in civil engineering from the same university.
My academic studies led to successive positions with job titles of Associate Professor, Full Professor and Assistant Dean. I started my management career with the title of Vice Dean.
In 2010, I started to work as a principal at the Sakarya Vocational High School. Working in cooperation with the business world, we created a ‘+1’ applied training model.
After the success of this project, we transformed the project into a ‘7+1’ applied education model and implemented it as a model paradigm in universities in Turkey.
In 2018, I became the Rector of the Sakarya University of Applied Sciences. I am currently working in the Vocational Education Commission of the Council of Higher Education.
