Although I have a non-university degree in finance, I had been thinking about social work and pursuing a degree in that field for some time. I am grateful to a friend who encouraged me to study at Vilnius Service Business Vocational Training Centre in Lithuania.
My perception of the school changed from the first day I walked in to find the modern, innovative environment and the very warm and attentive communication between all the administration and teachers. The school's staff and teachers are very competent professionals.
Every student, including me, received a lot of social support and encouragement, and we all communicated and cooperated with enthusiasm and great respect for one another.
The institutional environment and the excellent educational materials helped me get to know the profession of a social worker in a deeper way and helped me to develop empathy.
I am delighted to have had the opportunity to learn this profession that has given me knowledge and practical skills, as well as compassion, empathy, and encouragement. I have successfully applied all of this in my personal life when caring for my relatives.
