My name is Ömer Faruk Arapoğlu. I studied at the Sapanca Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in the Metal Technology Department and graduated in 2016.
After graduation, I worked in my family’s business. I also worked at other companies in the private sector in my field. This taught me that no matter how hard you work while working for others, you cannot earn more than the wage decided by the company.
I decided to start my own business with the knowledge I gained in high school. I started to do my own work in the ’Ottoman Food and Metal Works’ workshop , which was previously run by my mother.
I am now running my own business, with orders from private companies and people I know using the professional skills I gained at school.
Working with young people is always a pleasure for me. That's why I always have either a university student or an intern from a vocational high school working with me.
My aim is to ensure that the knowledge and skills these people have acquired at school are further consolidated in the working environment. I love my job, and plan to continue my education in the future.
