- Teaching and trainingThe future of VET
Internationalisation has always been very important in my life, and it has also influenced my work experiences so far. Since I started working for the non-profit training association ENAC Emilia Romagna, my trips abroad have always been with my students, as a chaperone and tutor.
For the first time, the REX VET LTT (From a Rookie to an Expert VET Learning Teaching Training) workshop I attended in Helsinki gave me the opportunity to join a group of foreign colleagues and work with them on the same topics.
Sharing information, ideas, experiences and suggestions was really important for my professional growth. I learned a lot of things in these three days of work. I came back from Finland full of positive energy and inspiration and infuse it into my daily work at my VET centre.
There is a quote by Edgar Allan Poe which I really love that says: ‘Travelling is like dreaming: the only difference is that not everyone, once awake, can recall their dream whereas everyone has a vivid memory of the trip from which he has returned’.
Let’s say that this working trip to Helsinki was like a dream for me. I have now come back to reality and to my students, but I continue to think of everything I experienced there.
