As students in metal technology, we took part in the library project of the Ministry of National Education, supported with revolving funds. We made bookshelves and desks for 16 schools and were paid a stipend.
In this way, we both worked for the benefit of society and earned much needed money. Participating in the construction project was a very positive thing.
In the Boyabat district, the children of poor families generally receive vocational education - their weak academic standing does not leave them other choices.
As one of these children, I was among those without access to formal secondary education.
However, with my role in this project, I saw that I could help society. I also had the chance for practical use of many of the subjects of our department.
