The best decision I have ever made

In June 2019, I traveled to Ireland to get some more experience working in a beauty salon. We stayed in Ireland for four weeks. Our journey started in the capital, Dublin, where me, other students and two professors went sightseeing and spent some free time together as a group. After a few days, we separated and moved to Mallow, small city, where we lived with host families. I was working as an apprentice in small nail salon from Monday to Friday, for eight hours each day. The owner of the salon taught me some useful tricks on how to do perfect nails. There were some differences from salons in Slovenia, but I liked the work anyway. At weekends, when we had free time, we went on trips around the country and saw a lot of Irish famous landmarks. I decided to try out working as an apprentice abroad because I wanted to practice my English and see, how the work in beauty salons is different around the world. I can say that it has been the best decision in my life so far, because I learned a lot of new skills and improved my English and social skills. I enjoyed my time in Ireland and if I had a chance, I would definitely repeat it all!
