Welcome to the second European Vocational Skills Week 2020 newsletter. In this edition we share news on the Week, Erasmus+ and on the fight against COVID-19 that we are all faced with.

In the European Commission we are taking COVID-19 very seriously, as we are sure you are too. Led by our President Ursula von der Leyen, here you will find a summary of all that we are doing.

But we are still planning at this stage to hold our Week. 2020 is the Fifth Anniversary of the European Vocational Skills Week. We will be paying particular attention to two issues high on the agenda of the new European Commission – green and digital. Look out for more information that we hope you can use to help spread the VET message again.

EVSW 2020 registration is open!

Many of you know that you can register your event or activity to associate with our annual European Vocational Skills Week. We realise that any event/activity you are/were planning in the near future may be cancelled or postponed. But do please take the opportunity to register your event/activity if at this stage you are fairly confident it can be held - if it is not until the second half of the year, for example. We would not want to have to do this, but your event could be taken off our map, if necessary.

Erasmus+ funding opportunities for Vocational Education and Training

Watch out for the Erasmus+ funding opportunities in Key Action 2 - Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices - for Vocational Education and Training.

Deadline: 24^th of April; 12:00 (noon) CET.

These Strategic Partnerships aim to support the development, transfer and implementation of innovative practices as well as the carrying out of joint activities promoting cooperation, peer learning and exchange of practice at organisational, local, regional, national or European levels. Under the Erasmus+ programme, the institutions active in vocational education and training (VET) field can work with others to help improve VET provision across Europe. VET institutions can work with different organisations, such as, enterprises, social partners and local or regional bodies to deliver high quality provision.

In the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform you can find inspiration from the pool of good practices and success stories as well as information, results and contacts for all projects funded under the Erasmus+ programme. More information about the application process can be found here and Erasmus+ National Agencies implementing this action can help as well.
