Work-based learning allows students to both strengthen the knowledge acquired during their studies in a real work environment, and at the same time get to know the daily life of a production company. This opportunity has not only allowed me to look behind the scenes of the dynamic printing industry while still studying, but also has provided an excellent basis for successful career development.
I started my career at “Livonia Print, Ltd.” as the youngest technologist, and it allowed me to use the knowledge gained at Riga State Technical School both in practice and to gain valuable practical experience, which has been useful for several years working as a project manager with various foreign book publishers.
Although I often face various challenges on a daily basis, I am happy to admit that I do not regret my choice, because working in the printing industry is really interesting, creative and exciting.
