When I began to study at a vocational school as a chef student in Finland 2016 some students told me about their experiences abroad as an intern with Erasmus. They told me how fun and instructive it had been, so I decided that I had to go too. In 2018 I went to North Spain to do an internship at a restaurant for a month, later on I was so satisfied with the experience that I decided to go to North wales for a second internship for nine weeks. In both Spain and Wales, I got an amazing chance to learn about other cultures and their food at the same time as I got new friends out in the world. In the kitchen in Spain the staff had very poor English so I picked up a few phrases in Spannish from working there that I believe can be an advantage for me in the future.

Today, after my graduation, I live in Sweden and study Gastronomy at Umeå University. Thanks to my internship and knowledge about other cultures and their food it can bring me some extra perspectives from time to time in the studies of learning more about Gastronomy.
