Through the Years: The European Vocational Skills Week
The European Vocational Skills Week is a European Commission initiative launched in 2016 to bring all stakeholders together to showcase best practices in Vocational Education and Training (VET), and inspire others through example to: #DiscoverYourTalent.
Since then, the Week has continued to shine a spotlight on how VET is key for young and old alike to upskill, reskill and create new networks, and is key to Europe’s efforts to respond to economic, climate and social challenges. VET continuously adapts and modernises to reflect fast-changing market realities and equips VET graduates with the skills they need to pursue the employment opportunities of today and of the future.
The European Vocational Skills Week initiative was created by the European Commission in the context of the New Skills Agenda for Europe.
Moving forward from the initial concept, the event has become a platform for VET stakeholders all around Europe and beyond to exchange ideas and best practices, while making VET more widely known.
Keep the conversation going. Use #EUVocationalSkills and #DiscoverYourTalent to follow the conversation online.
